Sigh

This week I joined Facebook and started watching "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" on DVD. In other news, I am 13.

Ooh, I will be your friend!

So how does Buffy hold up after 10 years? Perhaps it doesn't seem quite so groundbreaking and fabulous to you now that you've met Starbuck.

(Did you know Jane Espenson, who wrote some of Buffy's most beloved episodes, is a staffer on BSG? Fun fact! Well, dorky fact, anyway.)

(the first 3 seasons are really, really good)

At last, a friend! :)

Buffy holds up pretty well, although I'm not sure I'd know if it didn't. I'm enjoying it though, or at least as much as someone with a severe Sarah Michelle Gellar allergy can. That's very interesting about the BSG connection! The show gets extra retroactive points.

How can you be allergic to the hotness that is SMG?

And I'm on The Facebook, too. It's another step towards the total surveillance society.

Hotness? Pah. The girl has no chin and projects a loathsomely irresolute air. I do think she'll be stunning at 50 once her bone structure emerges.

I am already annoyed with myself for joining Facebook under my full name, although doing otherwise would probably defeat the purpose.

Mary & Kevin loaned us the entire Buffy series after Arlo was born. Arlo got to hang out at the breast a lot and we sat on the couch, riveted.

Enjoy!

Oops...Jennifer leaked our secret...we own the entire series! Um, also Kevin gave me two comic books of Buffy for my birthday. See how Kevin has made me a nerd!

Kevin is a terrible influence. He's got me reading those Swamp Thing volumes now.
