Just a seed pod? No, no. I am quite sure there is evil lurking within. Evil in the form of a beautiful downy fur that causes you to think you might die if you do not touch it.
Surprise! The luxurious fur is really poison thorns.

What a beautiful notion! I do have a plant like that... Except instead of poison thorns, the downy fur is extremely irritating tiny sharp quills. It is like having ground glass in your flesh:
